14th Open House featuring Eye Camp and Launch of the Embassy Website

The 14th Open House featuring an Eye Camp and Launch of the Embassy Website is being held today, 1 June 2007.

The Eye Camp is organized by the Ibn Al Nafees Hospital in Mahooz as a social welfare programme. Specialists from the hospital will provide free check up for eye sight and eye diseases, treatment, free medicine and pairs of glasses to the workers in need. The Art of Living Foundation is extending support to the efforts. About 300 Bangladesh expatriate workers are expected to avail the opportunity.

The monthly Open House had been introduced in April 2006 by Ambassador M. Ruhul Amin with a view to providing consular and welfare services to workers who are unable to come to Embassy on weekdays and to exchange views and receive inputs from the Bangladesh community especially the workers, and to give them advice and guidance.

Launch of the Embassy Website

The website of the Embassy – www.banglaembassy.com.bh  has been launched by Ambassador M. Ruhul Amin at the Open House. It will open the new windows of Bangladesh.

The pages under Country Brief gives essential information on Bangladesh history, geography, Government, economy and trade There is an extensive set of pages or links on Tourism (tourist attractions, packages..) and Bangladesh Culture ( Fairs and Festivals, Music, Dance, Drama, Arts and Crafts etc.

The website includes extensive information and documentation on Trade and Investment opportunities.

The website is designed to serve Employers as well as workers. All application forms, notices on procedures and requirements, and chart of fees are posted on the website. Henceforth, Passport Application Forms (for new/ duplicate passport renewal, endorsement..) can be downloaded from the website.

Employers will find Embassy prescribed Employment Contract Form and NOC attestation Procedures and requirements flier in the website in downloadable and printable format.

Tourists, business and other visitors will find Visa Application Form, Procedures and Requirements flier.

Visitors may find the website useful for its many extremely useful contents like the list of Bnagladesh Embassies worldwide, List of Embassies in Bangladesh and the list of Embassies in Bahrain.
