Bangladesh Forum cleans Marina Beach, supported by Embassy of Bangladesh |
|
On the May Day in the morning, the Bangladesh Forum (the coordinating body of all Bangladeshi Societies in Bahrain) supported by the Embassy of Bangladesh, observed the historic day in an exceptional way by undertaking a beach cleaning programme at Marina Beach. About 250 Bangladesh nationals gathered at the seaside and cleaned the long stretch from Al Fatah mosque to the Dolphin Park.
The Forum leaders and expatriate workers were joined by Bangladesh Ambassador M. Ruhul Amin and Officials of the Embassy. Senior Officials from the Bahrain Government including Mr. Saleh, Director of Research and Development of the Ministry of Agriculture and Municipalities also joined hands with the members of the Bangladesh Community in the cleaning work (Click for Picture here).
For the Bangladesh Community in Bahrain this has been an occasion to demonstrate their commitment to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Bangladesh Forum believes that such programme would contribute to the protection of the Kingdom’s environment and raise public awareness about the imperative of saving the marine ecology along the coast of Bahrain.
The Bangladesh Community in Bahrain plans to undertake similar other activities with the support of the authorities in protecting the precious environment of Bahrain. We share the dream of the people of Bahrain to transform the island Kingdom into the legendary garden of Eden of the olden times.
